How to Request Account Deletion
You can delete your Storia account directly from within the app. The process uses email verification to prevent unauthorized deletions.
Steps
- Open the app and sign in to your account.
- Go to your Account screen by tapping the profile/account icon.
- Tap "Delete Account" at the bottom of the Account screen.
- Read the confirmation dialog — you will be warned that this action cannot be undone.
- Tap "Delete Account" in the dialog to confirm. A 4-digit verification code will be sent to the email address associated with your account.
- Check your email for the verification code from Storia.
- Enter the 4-digit code in the app when prompted.
- Tap "Confirm" to permanently delete your account.
Once confirmed, your account and associated data will be deleted and you will be signed out of the app.
Alternative Method
If you are unable to access the app, you may request account deletion by emailing storia.application@gmail.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request". Please include the email address associated with your Storia account. We will process your request within 30 days.
Data That Is Deleted
When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently removed:

| Child profiles | All child profiles created under your account |
| Tales | All tales (stories) created by your profiles, including text, pages, and sequences |
| Images & illustrations | All AI-generated illustrations and character images stored for your tales |
| Audio files | All narration audio files associated with your tales |
| PDF exports | Any generated PDF files for your tales |
| Video files | Any generated video files for your tales |
| Subscription data | Your subscription status and purchase token mapping |
| Device tokens | Push notification registration tokens |
| Local app data | Cached user preferences and profile data stored on your device |
Data That May Be Retained
The following data may be retained after account deletion:

| Shared tale links | Previously generated share links may persist as inactive references. They will no longer display content since the underlying tale data is deleted. | Up to 90 days from original share link creation (share links have a 90-day expiry) |
| Tale reports | If you submitted reports about other users' content, or if your content was reported by others, the report records may be retained for safety and compliance purposes. | Retained as needed for platform safety |
| Anonymized analytics | Aggregated, non-identifiable usage analytics (e.g., event counts) collected via Firebase Analytics. This data cannot be linked back to your account. | Governed by Firebase Analytics retention settings |
Important Notes
- Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. All tales, illustrations, audio, and profile data will be lost.
- If you have an active subscription, please cancel it through the Google Play Store before deleting your account to avoid further charges. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel your Google Play subscription.
- The verification code is sent to the email address on file for your account. If you no longer have access to that email, please contact us at storia.application@gmail.com for assistance.
